4th of July Parade
Greetings Pack 574 parents!
We hope that you will all be able to join us in celebrating the 4th with your pack in the Bothell 4th of July parade.
Jay and I have put the finishing touches on the Pack 574 parade float, and it is ready to roll!
If you liked the Time Machine at the last pack meeting, you will love the Pack 574 parade float!
We need as many scouts as possible to carry the pack banner, pass out candy, ride in the old truck, or just sit on the lawn enjoying a campfire on the float.
This is a very fun event, and a long tradition for pack 574, so don't miss it!
Our parade float this year is a campground theme. there are trees, real grass, a campfire, birds, rocks,
and a trout lake all rolling on 4 wheels behind a very cool classic truck.
We will be assembling in the UW Bothell parking lot at 11:00 am for hot dogs and snacks while we get ready for the parade to begin at 12:00.
You can park in the South parking garage at UW Bothell, and walk uphill to the south Parking lot.
Pack 574 will be assembling in parking stalls 1275-1282 near the upper end of the parking lot

Upcoming Events
There are some events that you may or may not know about it. Here is a list of whats in store through the summer. Please remember...We are a family friendly Pack...All family members are invited to participate in all events (only exception are the camps).
There are awards that all of these events can go towards. I will let you know about those first.
If you do three summertime events, you will earn the Summertime Pack Award. This is a pin that you wear on your uniform!
You can also earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award. This is a patch that you receive the first year you earn it, and then a pin for every year after that.
The requirements for this award has more to do. If you want to check them out, the link is here.
Your den leader can also help you out along the way.
Now onto the events!
Our first summertime event. This is an exciting one. I actually went with my boys four years ago, and they still talk about how much fun it was. We slept in the old school house, but some of the others actually slept in the barn with the animals! How cool is that?
If you aren't signed up yet, there is still time. Email me and let me know ASAP if you are interested.
Date: May 5-6
Cost: $26 per person
Bike Rodeo
We are working on having a Bike Rodeo this year. It has been a few years and these are really fun for the boys. There are obstacle courses, bike repair training, safe bike handling, and lots more.

Bothell 4th of July Parade
Our Pack has participated in this parade for eleven years now. It's always fun! This year we will have a very exciting "float". Thank you to Jeff (Tiger Den Leader) for stepping up and making this happen. More information will be coming out through email about float set up parties before the parade.
Cub Scout Day Camp
It has been quite a few years since our Pack has talked about the Day Camp. The council had a few years where the camp just wasn't very well put together. We have heard really good things about the past couple years, so we thought we would let you all know. Camps are great way for scouts to earn requirements.
